As PoE 2 approaches, players are already buzzing about how the new version of Breach will be integrated into the game and how to make the most of it. What is Breach?
Breach encounters in Path of Exile occur when a player comes across a Breach – a rift between the mortal realm and the chaotic realm of the Breachlords. These Breaches contain powerful enemies, including the Breachlords' minions, and offer high-risk, high-reward content. While the concept of Breach mechanics is expected to stay largely the same in PoE 2, there are likely to be some changes or enhancements based on community feedback and technological improvements.

Breach Mechanics Overview
In a Breach encounter, players will encounter a large rift that releases hordes of enemies. These enemies are typically high in number, powerful, and come in waves. Players will need to fight through these waves while trying to contain the Breach. The longer the Breach remains open, the more enemies will spawn, and the greater the challenge becomes.

In PoE 2, we can expect Breach encounters to be equally chaotic, with possible improvements to how Breaches scale in difficulty and rewards. It is also possible that Breach-related loot will be more customizable, and there might be tweaks to how players interact with the Breach and its associated rewards.

The Breach Encounter Process
Breach encounters involve three major phases:

1. Opening the Breach:
To activate a Breach, you need to find the Breachstone or trigger an open Breach in a zone. Typically, you will encounter a Breach while exploring maps, and you’ll be notified by a message in the UI when you’ve stumbled upon one. You will need to interact with the Breachstone or Breach location to open the rift, which will unleash enemies from the chaotic realm.

Breachstones: These are items that can be used to open a Breach in a map. In PoE 2, Breachstones will likely remain a key part of the mechanic, although they may come with additional properties and modifications to enhance gameplay.

Breach Zones: Some zones might naturally have Breach encounters or can be triggered with specific conditions or items.

Once the Breach is open, enemies will begin spilling out in waves, and your job is to deal with them.

2. Conquering the Breach:
Once the Breach is open, enemies will begin to spill out in a constant stream. The goal here is to kill as many enemies as possible, as quickly as possible. The longer you take, the more difficult the encounter becomes, as more and more enemies will keep pouring out from the Breach.

During this phase, you will notice the “Breach Progress Bar,” which indicates how much time you have left to complete the encounter and how much progress you've made in defeating enemies. It’s essential to act quickly and efficiently to clear the Breach before time runs out. In PoE 2, the progress bar may have additional mechanics or enhancements that affect how it works.

3. Breachlord Encounter:
Once you've dealt with enough enemies, the Breachlord will be cheap POE2 Currency  summoned. This is typically a high-level boss with powerful attacks and unique mechanics. The Breachlord will serve as the final phase of the encounter, and defeating it will grant significant rewards.
