Currency orbs are the backbone of PoE 2’s crafting and trading economy. Optional bosses have an increased chance to drop:
High-value currency orbs such as Chaos Orbs, Exalted Orbs, or new crafting currencies unique to PoE 2.
Currency Components used for crafting—these components can be sold or used to craft powerful items, increasing their value.
By farming these encounters, you can accumulate the currency needed to upgrade gear, craft specific affixes, or trade with other players for items you need, reducing reliance on random drops.
3. Crafting Materials and Essences
Many unique encounters drop crafting materials or Path of exile currency essences essential for:
Item Modification: Crafting materials allow players to roll desirable affixes onto their gear, which can drastically improve build power.
Trade Commodities: Because crafting materials are always in demand, farming bosses for these items lets you accumulate trade goods that are consistently valuable, regardless of league or meta changes.
These materials can often be combined or POE currency for sale used in specialized crafting benches unlocked later in the game, further increasing their worth.
