Dr Prashant Kadam served as a Consultant in Liver Transplant and HPB Surgery at Sir HN Reliance Hospital, Girgaon, Mumbai. for 15 years, where he further refined his expertise and helped establish new standards in transplant care. During this time, he specialised in advanced procedures including complex paediatric and robotic liver transplant surgeries.
His extensive experience in Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) organ retrieval and Machine perfusion of grafts has helped save countless lives by expanding the availability of donor organs. His proficiency in these complex procedures developed during his time in the UK, makes him one of the few surgeons in India with comprehensive experience in these life-saving techniques.
He is also extensively trained in robotic liver surgery and robotic liver transplantation, enabling minimally invasive procedures that reduce pain, shorten hospital stays and improve recovery outcomes. This cutting-edge approach, when applicable, offers patients a safer and more precise surgical option.
