I tried to get to it some time back and frankly I was bothered by a good deal about UI, the engine, and artstyle. RS3 has an FoV that you can not scale that make it look like your looking through a lens all of the time. I would definitely turn it down when there was an option to do so. There is no option. Guild wars 2 is an example of a RS gold game that launched with no choice and low FoV to change it. They ended up including the option on and I hope RS3 follows suit. The UI is honestly a mess. Knowing how to use it, there are a lot of options which should just be grouped together, or moved, although it is something I needed to learn to use. On top of that the majority of the presets clutter the screen like older WoW overlays and it's fairly ugly looking.
It's too small and I am playing at 1440p, I can only imagine what playing at 4k is like. I frankly don't know more about the primary OSRS client in regards to this, but runelite has scalable UI and I need it scaled up about 125%-150%. People recommended changing my dividers resolution to 1080p and I had been left to wonder what year it had been because that is disgusting and will create RuneScape game overall appearance worse. The final thing is a criticism, but I truly dislike. I am not a hardcore OSRS graphic defender either like I played mostly largely when RSHD first started and actually really enjoyed search engine and some of the newest styles that came with it. Plenty of the graphics and armor stylings in RS3 seem to mesh together at a bland way that only feels like something out of a budget mobile game that is higher.
To also keep in with graphic styles I haven't even mentioned everyone using money shop skins which are all completely out of place and uninspired. I played other MMOs that needed a focus on MTX cash shop outfits (mostly guild wars 2) and in least of those outfits really looked like they belonged in RuneScape game in some way shape or form. RS3 proceeded ignored it and changed its design philosophy. These are small problems, but it made me quit playing when they stack together with eachother. There was just too much immunity when it came to figuring out that reveals a degree of unprofessionalism when it comes to design and how to do easy things.
This isn't to shit on RS3. There is a lot of QoL changes that I found to be really nice like the toolbelt, currency pouch, as well as also the complete required rework to mining and smithing (that is frankly needed in OSRS) only as a few examples. I simply wouldn't say that the MTX is the only poor thing about cheap RS gold, once I feel it has motor, graphic and UI problems as well as (in my view only for this ) an abysmal art fashion where the MTX outfits don't even match that design philosophy.
Runescape has of giving you a sense of progression, the allure. You might do a day of rooftops with nothing to show for it, if you're near 99 agility. Zero amounts achieved, no pet, nothing. But you know you grinded out another god knows that seems good, and how much xp. What I always say about osrs is there's no backward development (for the most part).Every little xp you never need to do again on your own accounts. Every little quest is done. Your accounts is progressed by you and it remains progressed. Idk I feel that unique compared to many games. Games you "progress" a monthly pass or there's a set end to RS gold match you beat it and that RS gold is it.
Exactly what I have mentioned, the conclusion is what feels good. While you educated your agi, you were bored needing a Netflix series to overeat, but in the end of the evening you felt so great that you'd completed the grind. That's what I'm saying, the grind itself is not fun, the feeling afterwards it was retains individuals going.Films and books are intended to entertain you though. Grinding a skill on a match is like grinding a skill in real life (for example playing a tool ). You need to repeat the identical stuff all the time, you neglect most of the time and a lot its just dull and annoying. But then when you are finally able to play the tune you are learning its a great feeling when you are eventually able to utilize the skillcape.
This really is a false equivalent. As you improving your ability and so the quality of your play by little, playing an instrument is something that you actively practise to improve upon, there's a constant gratification feedback. Grinding a skill above and over does not take skill, there is no danger of failure, I know full well I can click on a stone to mine 1000 times or once. It does not take skill to perform, and it's not something that you need to practise for much better at.I think the runescape equal would be learning raids or something. It takes a while to learn and get and you have to focus far better skillwise, like learning a new tune on guitar for instance. Training mining?
The other big difference is that you are never on"autopilot" when you're playing an instrument (if you are doing it right at least). There's basically nothing that is not autopilot. I honestly don't think there's anything akin to this cheap RS gold grind outside of additional older school MMOs. I can't describe why I have the urge to play with it for ~80 hours after. Of course its cheap RS gold not exactly the same, the one is a skill, another is a real life skill. Your skill as a human can get in bosses or your character can get better at climbing obstacles/crafting numerous runes. And not all the skills have exactly the exact same quantity of satisfaction feedback.
