Protect Your Hair When You Workout

  • You can play sports with a weaving or a lace highlight wig. To preserve all the beauty of your hair, here are some tips, however.

    Get the right hairstyle

Did you know that sweat contains salt which can gradually dry out your hair? To protect your mane, the ideal is to opt for a protective hairstyle such as a ponytail, bun or braid. To avoid breakage, use rubber bands covered with fabric (not rubber). You can also wear a sports headband, which is very practical for lifting your hair and absorbing sweat. Pair it with your outfit for a very trendy retro look.

Tip: Wash the band regularly to prevent bacteria from accumulating there.

    Pamper your mane

Once the sports session is over, the ideal is to wash your hair with a sulfate-free shampoo. If you exercise regularly, however, avoid washing your water wave hair wig every day (this could make it fat) and simply rinse the lengths between washes. Also remember to detach your hair and brush it once it is dry. Caution: Never brush a wet or damp wig.

Apply a moisturizing mask about once a week: this deeply hydrates and nourishes the hair. If you have an oily scalp or brittle hair you can also switch to white clay, perfect for restoring tone and shine to your mane without irritating it. Tip: Avoid dry shampoo that freezes sweat in your hair.
