3. Math Section
The Math section is divided into two parts: Math Test – No Calculator and Math Test – Calculator Allowed.
Math Test – No Calculator
- Duration: 25 minutes
- Questions: 20 questions (15 multiple-choice and 5 grid-in)
- Content: This part tests students’ ability to solve problems without the use of a calculator. The focus is on algebra, arithmetic, and basic problem-solving.

- Operations with algebraic expressions
- Arithmetic (ratios, percentages, proportions)
- Basic geometry concepts (area, perimeter, angles, etc.)
Math Test – Calculator Allowed

- Content: This part allows the use of a calculator and tests more advanced mathematical concepts. Topics include algebra, data analysis, and higher-level math.

Scoring
- Overall Score: Total score of SAT ranges from 400 to 1600, with two separate section scores: Reading and Writing (200-800) and Math (200-800).
- An Essay scores separately from 2 to 8 in three criteria: Reading, Analysis, and Writing.
